2020 COVID-19 Response
2020 certainly has been a year of challenges and changes. The Toyota Music Factory Half Marathon, 10K & 5K is no different. We are making every effort to ensure a safe, fun, in-person event. In light of the pandemic, we are taking our preparations for a successful event seriously. We need our participants to help us achieve this goal.
A new proclamation is released monthly. With each new one, changes can be made that would force us to cancel the in-person race. If that were to happen, participants will be transferred into the Virtual event. We can not offer refunds or deferments at this time.
Given current circumstances, we are unsure exactly what race day will look like. We will know more as it gets closer to the event date. This is what we know so far:
All participants will be asked to sign a COVID-19 waiver before receiving their bib and race shirt.
A mask/face covering must be worn AT ALL TIMES (except while running). This includes at packet pick up. Please be responsible adults, no littering of masks is acceptable.
Expect to have your temperature checked on race day.
Expect staggered start times. Participants will be required to select a start time (wave) PRIOR to race day. Stay tuned for more details.
– Half marathoners will start in Waves 1-4 (7:00 AM, 7:15 AM, 7:30 AM and 7:45 am)
– 10K Participants will start in Waves 5-6 (8:00am or 8:15 am)
– 5K Participants may ONLY start in Wave 6 (8:15 am)
A virtual option is available for those wishing to run at home but still want to receive the swag.
Volunteers will likely be absent. Expect a self supported event.
We will have 3 unmanned water stations along the course. Runners are encouraged to bring their own hydration.
Hand sanitizer and hand washing stations will be available throughout the event site.
2020 will be a capped event. We are currently at 75% capacity and will close registration once we reach 100%.
– 350 for the Half Marathon
– 100 for the 10K
– 150 for the 5K
Each individual is responsible for their own health. Please refrain from attending if you have any of the following symptoms: fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle soreness, headache, new loss of taste/smell, congestion/runny nose, sore throat, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea.
Updates will be posted as we learn more. Please check back often to stay up to date with the event.
