Can I pick up my packet on race day?
Yes. However, participants are highly encouraged to pick up their packets the day before at pre-race packet pick-up (see race details for more info). A friend or family member can pick up your packet with a copy of your event confirmation.

 

Where and when do I pick up my packet?
Please see the Pre-race Packet Pick-up section for your specific event.

 

Can you mail me my packet?
Unfortunately, packets can only be picked up during the predetermined packet pick-up times.

 

Is there a cap on entries for your events?
Depends on the event and venue size.  Please see race info on specific event for more details.

 

Are there age group awards for your events?
Yes, there will be age group awards at all events; however, age group divisions may vary event to event. Typically, the age groups recognized for 5K’s will be 14 and under, 15-19 and every ten years until reaching  70.  The age groups recognized for 10K’s and Half Marathons will be  14 and under, 15-19 and every five years until reaching  70.

 

Do I need to stay for the Awards Ceremony?
It nice to stick around and see who won, but it’s not required. If you are eligible for an award, and you are not able to stay for the Awards Ceremony, please contact the Awards Manager at the Results Tent to pick up your award. Unfortunately, we cannot mail awards at this time.

 

What’s a Bandit?
A bandit is someone running a race who did not register. Please don’t do this. If you do, please don’t cross the finish, or take any aid from the aid station or post-race goodies. These race perks are for the people who are officially registered.

 

Are your races open to walkers?
Yes, all events are open to runners, walkers, strollers, and wheelchairs. Please be courteous of others and start at the back of the pack as to avoid any collisions.

 

Will participants receive a finisher medal?
Yes, all 5K, 10K, and Half finishers at our events receive finisher medals.

 

Do you allow MP3 Players and music devices?
Yes. Music devices are allowed; however, we ask that you be alert and aware of your surroundings.

 

Will you email me information closer to the event?
Yes, we will start to email updates one month prior to the event. Please make sure you are checking your spam box as it is possible your security settings don’t allow our emails to go to your inbox.

 

Is there an age minimum or maximum?
No, the race is open to all ages as long as the participant can run or walk on their own. Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed, but we ask that they start at the back of the pack.

 

Where are the port-o-lets located?
Port-o-lets will be on the course near every aid station. Port-o-lets will also be available at the event site.

 

I can’t run. Can I still get my packet?
Yes, please stop by the pre-race packet pick-up location to get your bib and t-shirt.

 

I can’t run. Can I get a refund or transfer my entry?
Unfortunately, all participant entries are non-transferable and non-refundable.

 

Want to track where your friend or family is on the course?
You can download the free app “Find my Friends” through the app store on your mobile device.

 

Is the course flat or hilly?
Depends on the event.  Please see race info on specific event for more details.

 

If I arrive late, can I start and run the course anyway?
Depends on the event.  Please see race info on specific event for more details. Typically, runners are allowed to start up to 10 minutes past start time.

 

Is there medical help available on the course?
Most events will have EMS available on the course and/or at the finish line.  All police will have the ability to radio for ambulance assistance if needed. We will have race vehicles on the course to pick up those that need assistance.

 

Are pets allowed at this event?
Depends on the event.  Please see race info on specific event for more details about bringing your furry friends.

 

What sports drink will you be serving?
Gatorade will be available on the course and at the Finish Line.

 

Is there a place to check personal belongings?
Depends on the event.  Please see race info on specific event for more details.

 

Is there a charge for parking at the event?
Typically there is not a charge for parking at AMPT events. Please see race info on specific events to confirm.

 

What happens after the finish?
Walk for a bit, then have some water, and maybe a light snack. Food, water and sports drink will be available for runners near the finish line. Stick around to enjoy the Awards Ceremony and post-race celebration.

 

Can non-participants eat and drink the food available in the Food Tent?
The post-race food is generally meant for people who paid to be in the event. Please be respectful of this and the runners who need to rehydrate and replenish after the race. Vendors and sponsors will have sample foods and beverages available to both runners and spectators.

 

How do I find out how I did?
Results will be posted in the Results Tent as they are available. They will list all finishers, and their time and their rank.
